On the Sly commissioned Safe Pair of Hands to build their brand new studio complex in Eastbourne.

The brief was to design and construct 1 large and 2 small studios in a compact space to a high acoustic and sound insulation standard.

Both the interior and exterior of the studios needed to look contemporary, blend in with the architectural merits of the building, and ensure neighbours were not disturbed by their use of loud audio in the course of their work.

Safe Pair of Hands designed the interior of the acoustic booths with a mixture of upholstered and wooden acoustic slat panels. Sprayed matt black cladding was applied to the outside.

Due to the constraints of the space, particularly the ceiling height, the studio were designed and produced off site as a tool kit to assemble on site.

The end product is a studio suite that look contemporary and performs to the standards required by a high flying audio company.
